Get Involved
House of Bread relies on countless volunteers every day to assist with large pick ups of donated food, and to help in our kitchen with preparing and serving the lunchtime meal to our guests.
We are now accepting 3-4 volunteers per day to join us. Hours are 10:00am – 2:00pm and you will be serving food to our guests and helping our staff. We ask that you are over the age of 16, fully vaccinated, and come with a compassionate mindset.

Kitchen Volunteers
Kitchen Volunteer shifts are available daily from 10:00AM to 1:30PM. Volunteers help serve our guests by performing tasks such as food preparation, food or beverage serving, and general kitchen duties. Volunteers assist our staff in meeting our high standards of service to our guests. Start by selecting the shift on the day(s) you are available. Four volunteer openings are available for each shift.
Volunteer opportunities are available to pick up donations of food items from three local places and deliver them to the House of Bread. To volunteer in this capacity, we do need to pre-screen you for a valid drivers license and insurance. Before using this calendar, please email your interest to: 9OrthAvenue@gmail.com.
